BEST WESTERN Sysonby Knoll

The rooms was spacious, bright and comfortable. There was a fair-sized surface to work on, though it wasn't a proper desk. There is plenty of space for parking in an enclosed area (locked at night). There is a good variety of public spaces, including a couple of garden areas. Only a short walk from the town of Melton Mowbray

A very nice hotel with a lot of character. The room was absolutely superb with four-poster bed which we found very comfortable. Comfortable chairs provided in a large room and the bathroom was very nice. The gardens are nice but the view beyond is unfortunately spoilt by new housing development. Breakfast was nice.

We had an excellent evening meal and breakfast. Our room was spacious and spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. We like how the car park was securely locked overnight.

Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Fruit, yogurt or cereals were available to help yourself. Only one pastry was out which was cold and unappealing. Not many guests were at breakfast and so croissants/pastries could have been warmed and offered on arrival. Quite a long wait to receive coffee, I would have preferred to help myself. Hot breakfast was very limited, one hash brown, half a fresh tomato, one sausage, one bacon, one egg and the smallest portion of beans I’ve ever seen! We paid £12.50 for the very lack lustre breakfast; this let the stay down as the standard twin room was faultless and spotlessly clean, all credit to the ‘housekeeping team’. Lovely quiet room and view outlook onto grounds and the river.

To be honest the whole stay exceeded my expectations of a Best Western Hotel. My room was lovely ,the food was excellent but above all I was really impressed by the fabulous team that worked there. It felt like a family owned hotel, warm and friendly ..5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
